Simple Homemade Mosquito Trap as Spring Temperatures Start to Rise, so will the pesky Mosquitoes and Black Flies.
As the snow finishes melting, and pools of stagnate water start to materialize, it’s time to start thinking about protecting your family, friends, and yourself from the irritating bites of hungry black flies and mosquitoes.
Here is a very easy mosquito trap that can be made at home with basic household items.
List of What’s Needed:
1. A used 1.5 or 2 Litre Soda Bottle
2. 1/4 Cup of Brown Sugar
3. 1/4 Teaspoon of Yeast
4. 3/4 or 1 Cup of Hot Water
5. Scissors
With this list of materials, follow the following diagram to craft a quick trap.
As a added suggestion, use some duct tape to connect and fasten the two cut halves. It definitely helps to prevent major messes or clean up if one of your house guess happen to knock it off the table. Better yet, once assembled, punch two small holes in the top sides of the bottle, attach some fishing line, and hang like a garden planner out of the way.
Good Luck, and we hope this helps, love to hear additional comments or creative additions to this solution.
